I was at this concert and had first seen the band two years before at the Hollywood Bowl for a Sunday afternoon sold out and amazing performance. I kind of think this one was as good....different vibe, being inside a basketball arena vs. outside in the sun.

As most of you know, The Chain was part of Mac's mega monster album Rumors released in early 1977..and during the recording cycle for the album, Nicks and Buckingham were breaking up, as were the Mc Vies and I believe Mick Fleetwood's marriage was going down as well.

I am amazed these great musicians had the guts to stay together and very thankful that they did. This was the early, go-go 80's, and so let me set the scene as I sort of remember it. Going to concerts was so much fun and since none of us had kids yet, we'd go for it. One couple got the limo, someone else scored great seats from Al Brooks ticket brokers and someone else brought the "refreshments" of choice. The Lakers were still playing at The Forum, so, the limos would pull up in front of a private entrance to the Forum Club....there would be brief interest in who might be in our limo, but as soon as we got out the usual reaction was "they're nobody." It didn't bother us, at least we were nobodies with a limo and great seats.

I did a bit of re-mixing to brighten the track.
