RIP: Ben was a great rock vocalist, with a mysterious combination of fire and ice in his voice that drew you in. In the 80's, most of the guys I knew wanted to be him, and ALL of the girls I knew wanted him. It's always slipping away, but the songs remain.

Saw them at Madison Square garden 1980, Nassau Cloiseum 1982, went backstage & met the band that night God i wanted Ben so bad, saw them at Forest Hills Tennis Stadium in 84 & again at Madison Square Garden in 87. I was only 14 in 1980 so I couldn't see the first 2 tours.

Saw them at the Blue Wall bar at UMASS campus center in 78. I didn't realize that Ben was such a center of the band and a handsome talent. He makes the other guys look like the rest of us nerds...
