I saw the Cars and the Motels at the Kiel Opera house in 1980 (I'm pretty sure it was October). At the end of "Just what I needed" the keyboard player let that last note continue on for about 2 minutes and the whole band left the stage. Then they came back out for an encore.

Haha, I remember this tune from back when I was a sophomore in high school and my old 72 Impala loaded with friends and speakers across the back seat jammin the Cars CandyO through an 8 track and flying down Perryville road late late at night, up and over the hills on that gravel country road. Wonder that we lived....Teresa, Jackie, Douglas, Timmy reach out sometime I'm lookin.

One of my favorite cars songs and the album of the same title of which i played until it was worn out and that was in cassette form. Benjamin Orr certainly did that song well may he rest in peace.
