Today is the day of NINA. I've ended the set of cat photos with her and now it's the turn of another girl with the same name. I've always had a weak spot for Nina Persson of the CARDIGANS. This Swedish band was founded in 1992 and is still playing. Guitarist Peter Svensson and bassist Magnus Sveningsson, both coming from the heavy metal turned the band into one that played first Indie to switch later into Pop-Rock. They did well in their own country and strange enough also in Japan (they must prefer blonds over there). While the popularity also was rising in the States they couldn't score a real hit in Holland. Although still playing no new album has been released since 2005. The last one was "Super Extra Gravity". Enjoy the video clip "ERASE AND REWIND" from the album "Gran Turismo" (1998). This album only became 27 in the Dutch Top 100. So this song is really for the connoisseurs ;)
