@zekefrmoz It sounds like Joe is speaking of his experience of migration from Malta to Australia in this. Joe Camilleri, along with Paul Kelly, are probably two of the finest musicians in Australia. Fans of Tim Rogers and Tex Perkins may disagree, though. However, it is a matter of taste, and to me, this song is highly underrated.

love this song!!! i've played it literally hundreds of times ever since i bought their 80's released CD Hold On To Me. The original mix and engineering on the CD is the best i've heard yet. It's a song that's always helped/inspired me in some way or other. whether i've felt high or low, it always made me feel simply better, more connected with my own and others humanity.. it's a classic song.
