+iiimadmaniii Because no record company would ever sign anyone who makes any kind of music with a message. Just look at how quickly the Flobots and System of a Down disappeared from the mainstream. Record companies now only sign artists that make "feel good" music about partying, getting rich, and having sex. So there probably are some Iraq vets out there who have tried, but they just don't get the exposure to have their message heard.I know because I have tried to write some poetry about my time in both Iraq and Afghanistan, but no one will even consider publishing it.
