This reminds me of the movie 'The Woman In Black' for some reason...I love The Birthday Massacre with every fibre of my being. They're coming to the UK in April and I can't wait, I'm memorizing all their songs so I can sing along. I've only been to one other concert in my short life and that was Linkin Park, but this is one concert I am going to be genuinely happy to go to. I love them so much, they're magical.

This song makes me think of a story. A story in which a witch falls in love with a prince. It goes like this:She goes to meet him every few days, as a suitor would. However, after every meeting, she, using her magic, erases his memory of their meeting. Every time she goes to meet him again, he falls in love with her anew.She does this because there is a tradition of executing witches in their land, without exemption or mercy, if they are discovered to be so, by burning them at the stake. And, surely, if anyone were to find out that a witch was consorting with a *prince*, of all people, she would surely not be spared from this fate. She even fears that the recipient of her affection, the Prince himself, may turn on her and brand her as a monster, having been raised by the very witch-hating society that wants her dead. Because of this hated status, possibly even by the Prince, she has come to resent the witch in herself, viewing this part of herself as a monster.(I know it's all meant to be a metaphor, in the song, but it can't hurt to draw inspiration from a somewhat more literal interpretation of something sometimes, eh?)
