From feb. 67 to feb 68 the Beatles worked on The Yellow Submarine soundtrack while simultaneously recording Magical Mystery tour. This recording def sounds more like Let It Be tom foolry...

This may have been when George went out and brought back Billy Preston. Just a guess, but that is what he did, to keep the noise down (ie, the bickering) in the studio.
