Playing George Harrison's parts of Twist and Shout with the live 1965 setup of a Gretsch Tennessean... but I'm playing through a Vox AC30 TBX instead of what they were using at Shea Stadium ;).

11 ga. Thomastik Infeld Jazz Series flatwounds, no pedals.

Update: I know that George didn't play 7ths on the LP recording, but sometimes he would use them. In the future, I will re-do this video without the 7ths.

For the solo or the main riff? The main riff is this: low E string: 5, 7 A string: 4, 5 Hit a D chord Hit a G chord (George played G7 sometimes live) Hit an A chord (George played an A7 sometimes live)

@HunBeatles ... yes, I think you are right on the recording. I was mimicking George Harrison's playing of this song at Shea Stadium in '65. He used 7ths a little bit.

Pretty good, but I think there is no any 7 chord (D7, G7 or anything).

@s2seltaeb Oh thanks! I guess that wouldn't work on my marshall class 5 because it doesn't have a treble channel.

@ugafootball247 I think the volume knobs were up all the way on both pickups, and the guitar had both the pickup selector and the mud switch in the middle positions. Well actually, you can see at the beginning of the video that I had the pickup switch in the bridge position, then I flipped it back to the middle... so you can briefly get a sense of the difference in tone.

@ugafootball247 As for the AC30, I am plugged in to the treble channel ("Brilliant.")... The treble is probably around 6 or 7, and the bass around 5 or 6. That's about it.

@Sig269 Yes, they are 11 gauge Thomastik Infeld flatwounds. (Jazz Series... so the string package should say JS-111). They're great for the Tennessean.
