This has to be one of the most popular Beatle covers despite not being played on Oldies or Classic rock stations. The first time I heard this song was on an Internet radio station that covered 1960s garage bands from Texas but I forget the name of the band that did this Beatles cover.

John may have put this song as the ending track as it was his least favorite, but that somehow was genius. The album opens with Drive My Car, in which John and Paul allow the girl to come in their life and take the wheel, but MAYBE he loves her. This relationship turns to disaster as John finds out she had an affair with another man, transitioning from endearment to violence in around 35 minutes.In the US version of Rubber Soul, it's even darker. That album opens with I've Just Seen a Face, a Paul song concerning puppy love at first sight afflicting both McCartney and the mistress. The incidental plot twist was that this "face" was John's girl, and Paul was the "another man. A best friend out to kill his current girlfriend.I feel many people have underestimated the poignancy of Rubber Soul in light of the albums that followed.
