They lost the heart of the song. Rarely would I say that a group totally washes out but this one did.

I like this. It could have been a classic if they hadn't felt the need to rush through it, and the strange change in tempo around 1:36. A George Martin-produced version might just have qualified to pop up on an EP or a B-side somewhere.
