I dunno, as a dance instructor I do tend to feel better as a "dancer" than when I'm just "human," so I'll stick to my guns, and anybody else is free to apply the song to their own context as they choose.

Hate to burst your bubble, it is a nice interpretation! But...the band's opinion on it was, are we human (individual, thinking, independant) or dancer (using it as a plural noun, one of the random crowd...) But then, your view makes you just as human as you should be!

@Gillonn 1.This is an awesome cover of a Killers song, so take the lyrics up with them if you must. 2. Have you ever poured all you passion into something beautiful? Art, music, sports, or anything at all? It's such a rush you almost can't contain yourself, it's like you'd be glowing if you could. So you can be boring old "human" or the expressive creative "dancer." (this is at least what the song means to me, if you think about it you could probably come up with your own answer too)
