I wonder if there isn't a well meaning Manager or promoter behind this stupidity. Everyone, even the greats make mistakes, desperation creates this. My simple advice is be who you are. Never be who someone else wants you to be. If at this time they want to be like everyone else, play things safe, and be pop...let them. I imagine and hope this will end up to be a learning experience and they mix their roots with what they learned. Selling out never works. I hope their next album is better than this one and again they can be who they are. Good intentions, bad advice, pressure to succeed, and desperation causes errors. Maybe the best thing they should do is take four to five months off and make another album. This time one they like instead of pleasing some marketing director or accountant. Being creative and staying on top isn't easy. The legions in any music very seldom are on top with every album, but they end up legions, because they press on. I hope they press on and learn.
