Very, very good version. Others -- of course, Bruce, but also Rodney Parker & Fifty Peso Reward, and Hank III.

Three cheers for Levon, Garth Hudson, Rick Danko, and Randy Ciarlante (drums). I don't recognize the guitar player or the horn section, but they are great.

Damn, that was good. Levon could sing the phone book, and it would still beat most anything to hell.

Ernest Hemingway was a wonderful story teller but he was NO Levon Helm. Thanks 4 the greatness that we all fell in love with.

All of the member's of The Band contributed in writing songs Robbie Roberts just took credit to get royalty rights. After The Last Waltz was finished all the members signed their royalty rights to Roberts to get out of their contract with the record label. Just business happens all the time. They reformed the band without Robbie Roberts. All this is in Levon Helm's autobiography "This Wheel" on Fire".
