They're kinda' right...douche. This is a very solid cover. I like how everything becomes jumbled near the end. I went though my 'The Wall' phase many years ago, and always understood the song to be about addiction. It's also a hopeless fucking album as a whole, but who's counting. That's Roger for you. I think it sounds great. I even liked the Scissor Sisters one, but I consider the original to be Floyd's zenith, and over the years, I'm looking forward to it being taken all sorts of ways.

Yep. I notice that effect too. We want to be challenged and to hear new things. But when there's no familiar handle to grasp on to, it's just annoying. That's the thing, your ear has to get used to jazz harmonies. It doesn't have to get used to pentatonic scales or triads. We find it naturally pleasing.
