It's not uncommon for artists to sell their songs to others, even at the price of signing over the credit to others, just so that their song "gets out there" on a good recording. Suposedly Elvis did this also? Led, probably "paid them nicely" for it, and all was well, they did take it to a new level.

I bought a radio promo copy of this for dirt cheap on eBay awhile back. Best of all, it's in near mint condition.

Zepp heads will never admit their gods did anything even remotely dishonest. And the Association's version is fracking incredible.

I can't believe the kids that think that Robert Plant and Jimmy Page wrote this. And even after they are corrected they continue to argue. "Yeah but Zeppelin owns this."

In the event that you haven't yet looked this up yourself yet, the writer was Anne Bredon, who went by Anne Johannsen at the time. Wikipedia has more info about this song & probably more about The Association as well.

Who wrote this song?I was told Russ sang the lead,is that true?I'd like to find out of all the songs, which ones Russ sang lead on.I know Jim Yester sings lead on Along Comes Mary, and I believe Russ sings lead together with Terry on Cherish. But the more obscure songs are the ones I'd like to know about.Like Are you ready,Wasn't it a bit like now,Dubuque Blues,One too many mornings,Blistered,Requiem for the masses, and other less known songs that only fans would know. Thanks for any info.
