So really standard tuning? Also i take it you are using a pedal and amp? Or just software? Am only asking as I've just started to play and don't want to waste a load of money trying to get the right setup and sound. any suggestions would be a great help. Really good tutorial btw

I use a Line 6 UX2 and the POD Farm 2.Im trying to find a nice tone for black metal(clean and dist.) and for stoner-doom...can you give me any tip to improve my sound?

I use a Line 6 Tone Port, so I plug direct into the computer through that interface. You can't go wrong, and you can use other VST plugins to use with it, too.

Everything I do is in D#/Eb. Tuning 1/2 step down can really make something sound darker. It's also easier on the fingers when using .10 gauge strings.
