I too much enjoy Groundhog Day, another favourite which was not appreciated as much as it should have been was Castaway. I know of a personal instance where an "angel" came into someones life to show them love and strength and to help them through something very difficult, only to suddenly pass away and leave them a much changed and better person but the "angel" did their job. People come in and out of our lives, all for reasons and all part of a plan we have no control over

the movie does in fact 'look both ways' - at the loss and fear that are inevitably part of the human condition, but also, and in the end predominantly, at the triumph of love and life - i have just seen again today and i agree that this is an extremely beautiful movie - as wise and inspiring as 'groundhog day' - i mean this as high praise

hope you passed your assignment, may I suggest that you watch it again, one of the best movies in the world of the past 10 years if not ever. Perhaps you have to have experienced life to its fullest to get the movie, but it makes me cry everytime and William and Justine's performances are equally brilliant!
