I totally agree. I started listening to the 'bats in April 2011, and I really wish I knew about them when I was a little kid :'( But I am just glad that I have found the greatest band in the world in the first place :D

@Shoyrcloud Actually, ignore what I said. I saw something from after Charge, 2009, and it still was good. Less edgy, I suppose, but just as good.

@Shoyrcloud I think he said it's at its peak during charge, and then I'm guessing after yo gabba gabba he altered it to pander to his new audience. Yes, I would assumed Charge still had a bit more of a bite to it. Yo gabba gabba screwed the bat commanders wit, is what I was saying.

Are you saying that he changed his sense of humor during Charge and then let it sink in for Yo Gabba Gabba, or that it was still the old sense of humor during Charge? I think they still had more bite to their humor during Charge than now, but as I said I can't understand the way you worded this...

@cartens33 Their humor definitely has seem to have changed... I don't really have a preference towards their old or new humor (actually, none of it is really my sense of humor, I really love their music though and therefore try and give it all a chance? I think there's amusing things about both the new and old humor), but it did get kid-friendlier, probably in part because of Christian getting older/having kids... Just a guess though, I don't really know enough about him to say for sure.

@cartens33 Maybe he said this in their charge days, pre yo gabba gabba, and at that point it had, and then he let it sink when he found a new audience for the aquabats.

@Shoyrcloud I assume you're referring to him saying pissed. I have never considered this a swear word, but yes, they were edgier in their more youthful days. I honestly like it better. Christian Jacobs has said their live shows are better. Even if they had the same number of people, horn section and all, and the same number of fights, I still don't know that his wit has improved. There was something about his old wit that was superior in a way. I think he let yo gabba gabba downgrade it.

Fun Fact about this song! When I was 28, I borrowed this CD from my friend. It took me so long to listen to it that my friend wanted it back by the time I was only on track 6. I told him I lost it so I could finish it. Imagine the irony I was struck with when I heard this song for the first time(and the fear I felt when I heard a knock at the door!). It's not a true story, but it is funny!

Did anyone else notice that the Commander swore in this version of the song? Wow. I never thought they'd actually do that. I wonder if it was a slip or if it was intentional... Just seems particularly odd for The Aquabats! (although they seem to have been a little edgier back then...). However, this song remains totally awesome, I love how they alternate between both versions of the chorus.

I really wish I was around back when the old incarnation of the Aquabats was around. I love them how they are now but I would definitely like to see what they were like like back in the mid '90s
