I'm old now, but I'm glad I was young when the Animals came around. Hilton Valentine's head banging was about 25 years ahead of its time! Never gave a rip about the Beatles, Keith Richard's guitar was cool, but Alan, Chas, Hilton, Eric and Johnny forever touched my young mind.

Eric is getting off and good backup vocal from Chas Chandler! Nice and RAW you dont get it like this anymore. When I saw them for their reunion in the 80s they did it just as well when the ARK album came out.

To me, THIS is the Animals best song. Great views of Chas Chandler on this video too. These guys were real rockers while most in the British Invasion just stood on stage and sang. Had the pleasure of meeting lead guitarist Hilton Valentine recently. Great band!

The Animals very first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show was on Sunday, October 18, 1964. It will be 50 years ago next month that they first appeared which is also the first time that The Animals visited the United States from England.The Beatles appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show in Feb. 1964. The Rolling Stones appeared on October 25, 1964.It was an exciting time to be a teenager back then, which I was. :-) I really liked The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, but my favorite was and still is The Animals. Big crush on Eric Burdon when I was a teenager. ha ha
