Runic John is a modern day shaman living within the moorland valleys of Rossendale in Northern England - a writer, a painter and a spiritual healer, he reads the ancient language of the runes and runs a stall at music festivals and events in the UK.

In this short film John describes how he came to live the life of a shaman, how it continues to guide his life today and how it now provides him with his sole income through The Shamans Apothecary - a festival stall selling incense, potions and plants that historically were once consumed for their hallucinogenic qualities.
