Crank it way up and sink into some serious rocking blues as the Brothers throw down on this Willie Dixon staple. Dickey's tone is to die for as he respires through that stratospheric, lungular 335. Warren claws away at his Les Paul with precision abandon. I dearly miss Woody's thunderous attack, which always manages to propel my consciousness to the precipice of a spiraling abyss of true bliss. Gregg is just riding high on the groove, beaming and happy. All of this driven by the quadruple threat of Butch, Jaimoe, Marc and Matt pounding away, rock solid, the very essence of time held true in their hands.

"Dickey's tone is to die for as he respires through that stratospheric, lungular 335" You've got it, man. Comes through even clearer (I believe) on the ABB 2nd Set recording....what an amazing tone!! Pure joy to listen to.

Dickey has the time feel, the tone and overall class of the great bluesmen.....not too much distortion....so he probably doesn't appeal to rockers as much...but this for me is a great player, underrated.......

Holy Jesus, AmosNomore . . . . incredible version of this great ol' tune. I couldn't have described it better. Young guitarists should take note ( pun intended ) .\m/

Dickie's bend at 2:29 sends chills to the bone. he and Warren are so very underated guitar players. Much respect to both of you and the entire ABB. Pure talent....

I would say your entitled to your own opinion, but come on. Really, I mean really?? I would reply with something a lil more cleaver but I figured I better stay in the shallow end on this one.

Awesome jam! I remember the first time I saw the Allman Brothers.... 1981 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. Me and my oldest brother wanted to see them bad.... We had little money, no car, so we hitch hiked 70 miles to Atlanta, saw a great show, David Allan Coe opened up for them, after the show we walked down to the Greyhound bus station, waited around a couple hours, and rode the bus back to Rome, Georgia for 8 bucks. I will never forget that experience!

I'm still waiting on Gov't Mule to announce for Houston, TX and ABB one mo' time again in this config...I hope I'm still around to see the next version of ABB...whoever is on percussion/keys and takes place of that ol' bassard Warren...I guess it's up to young blood to keep the fires burning

I LOL'd at first thinking you were cutting up, but ... amazing! Your observational skills are stellar!! Cool things happen at ABB shows. Right now I'm thinking about Jeff Healey jamming with the Bros. in Sacramento and wishing wishing wishing that could happen again.
