Carl co-wrote this song which is on a 1964 EP "Carl Belew" (UK, RCA RCX-7134). The track was first published in 1962. This sounds like a Nashville RCA Studio B recording, with Floyd Cramer on piano and the Anita Kerr Singers. He appears to sing "That's When I See The Glues" rather than "... Blues" - may be to do with recording acoustics? (Jan 2014: Sorry I can't respond to comments submitted in the new Google+ system)

I'd only heard the Jim Reeves version before, but to me this is every bit as good if not better. Superb song and goodness me, didn't Carl have a hand in some superb country classics? He deserved to be better known and this is everything I loved about the Nashville Sound. So glad I found this absolute peach of a song and performance and thanks for posting it.12 years назад
