Saw your Dad and the other fellow in a b bookshop in North wALES. about 10 yrs ago. i WANTED TO SAY I'm Northern Irish too , I'm lost and an the only thing that kept me straight was the Neill brothers. Anyhow. I didn't but tried to give him good smiles and etc. 2nhd best band from Derry after the other band.

so funny - that's exactly the way I heard this song!! I used to tape 120 minutes everyweek and watch with a notebook and pen then run down to the alternative record shop in Philly and look for the albums!!!

Like it like it like it... My Dad never stops lecturing me about my Irish heritage. Probably my earliest memory is of me and my wee brother Niall listening to our Dad telling us stories about the Troubles..and hey, the music of The Undertones/That Petrol Emotion.... well I love 'em regardless of any of that but my affiliations dont matter either way........

One night back in the 80s, I programmed my vcr to record MTVs "120 Minutes". The next day when I checked the tape, this video was on there. It was the first song I'd heard from TPE and is still my favorite. I still can't believe that the "alternative nation" didn't embrace them more. Thanks for the post jpdkiwi!

Ciaran! He was my favorite member. I saw them in chicago way back and he rocked! He held everything together and was the most interesting. He was pretty bald at that time though!
