The overall quality did not go down in the years after going to 4 or more mics, The quality went up as there was more control over mic hogs and the individual setting capability for the singers individual voice. You are goofy if you think different. Tell me how more control over individual settings can be bad by running more mics so one can have that capability. You are honestly ignorant of the subject and are trying to bully your way through this.

Yes, I know you are there. And you are also dense. I'm not surprised at anything you say. You constantly twist and distort the discussion. I now expect that from you. I'm not against mixing boards, doofus. You dance all around and evade the original point, which is, the overall quality of performance and showmanship declined with the advent of individual mics. It's not even debatable. Give it up. Don't change the subject.

Worry about yourself as I would say that is a full time job.

I suspect "Gospel Lover" and "Sensible Adult" may well be a hoax, I certainly hope so. Otherwise, their interaction makes it clear that neither do they really love the gospel nor would either ever be designated as a sensible adult. Please stop the childish, churlish mudslinging.

You sir are absolutly out of your head. A mixing board is a valuable tool in stage productions and recording. How would a recording studio operate without a contol board and using seperate mics? We aren't in the olden days of sound contol. You need to remember I am here to give my response to anything you can come up with. Remember I AM HERE. It may be a couple days or so for my response but it will come.

No, you are stuck with your head in a mixing board. You know nothing about singing. Are you telling me the old Blackwoods and Statesmen were not superior to what we see in this video? Baloney. This is pathetic. This is the reason gospel concerts waned in popularity. Individual mics led to a decline in overall show quality. In the old days, blending was part of singing. You didn't depend on some techno geek doing it for you with a knob. You had to do it yourself.

If you are so smart how would a person control the sound for 4 people with 2 mics You can't. You want to be stuck in the old days. You still don't know what you are talking about but are to stubborn to admit it. You have backed yourself in a corner and are too proud to admit you are wrong. Only a non thinking person with a knee-jerk attitude would even say what you have said about 2 mikes verses 4. With your attitude they should go back to the 1 mic days.

No, I am 100% correct. You are a nincompoop.

Whether I can spell mics or mikes you are wrong. Get it through your concrete head.

sensibleadult

At least I can spell "mics". Go soak your head.

You are very typical of someone who doesn't think things through but uses a knee jerk reaction. Even 2 mike have to be operated correctly. In the 2 mike days the bass had to crowd the baritone so he could be heard. With separate mikes that is now nearly a thing of the past. You need to use your brain which is evidentally hard for some to do.

BA LO NEY. When individual mics became the norm, not only did the overall sound quality decline, but also the entertainment and showmanship suffered as well. These Blackwood Brothers with individual mics are ridiculously amateurish and sloppy compared to the earlier versions with only two mics.

You live in La La Land. When you have more than one person you have different tones of voice, different, pitch of voice, volumn of voice and several other things that are varibles in how the person is heard. Being a good singer has nothing to do with balance when more than one is singing due to those several things. One can be good but 2 or 3 people singing needs balance to the sound. Use your brain and you will understand.

sensibleadult

A good singer doesn't need the help of a control board man to balance the mic. You think about that.

12 years назад

gospellover

If one has a control board man that knows his business it is easier to balance the sound with individual mikes. Just like a recording studio.. Think about it without a kneejerk reaction. 2 mikes have to be run correctly or the bass is having to crowd the baritone singer . It all centers around the soundboard man. Again think about it .

sensibleadult

Why do you say that?

You are out of your mind.

I think individual mics were one of the worst things to happen to quartet music.
