Flares, straights and glam jecks wow. Saw them at the Windsor Castle, Parnell cupla times late '70s.. dull really. Johnny and the Hookers were a better live pub act. Our bands could play but couldn't entertain. Split Enz around '76 '77 were awesome live, but that was concert level. They were dire at Coogee in '84. Most of the 70's shows worth seeing were overseas acts. The audience was great at Auckland Town Hall and Western Springs. Except on a long hot stoned day, ask the Stones.

That's Dave Dobbin? Wow, he was in fine voice there, really rockin it out. It is a real vocal performance where all others at the time were trying to sound so smoothed out and bland so as not to offend. This is quite refreshing to see some dues being paid by an actual career artist! Double verse was a bit long, that's the only minor gripe.
