You're misinterpreting what I said. I didn't mean that it wasn't Tennessee Ernie who was singing here. I meant that he wasn't using his "normal" singing voice. It certainly isn't the way he was encouraged to sing at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. He's hamming it up here which is fine; however some people, especially younger ones he may have only seen him on I Love Lucy reruns, don't realize what a superb serious singer he could be.
