yeah the guitar and Bass have a effect called "chorus" its usually in pedal form. it was REALLY popular during the 80ies(in the 80ies they put that effect on pratically everything: bass,guitar,synths etc. also for it to be the cure/cocteau-twins/new-order sounding the bass is playing slightly higher than a bass usually plays and is also part of the melody the thing that gets stuck in your head all day( like boom bom buh buh bom dom doh bom bom bom". great song. thank you chuck !
