I've wanted to give my twist on a Tekken track for years now and at first I was conflicted with what to cover. I settled on 'Black Winter Night Sky' because of it's 80's style synth vibe and it just sounds like a staple Tekken anthem to have on this album. I didn't have a plan on what was to be fully formed at the end of the tunnel when I finished arramging this. It turned out to incorporate the math rock and progressive qualities I love to gravitate towards with hints of metalcore.
