@NeverDoubt1 Independently of the song, that is perhaps the most beautiful point made during a friendly argument I have yet read on YouTube (and most anywhere that I can think of). It sounds vaguely familiar, but that may be simply because it struck a live chord within me (that's not to say I revel in keeping secrets, but I do keep certain things to myself in my offline life, and am always shrouded online -- a necessity , unfortunately). Before I get quartered by the fervour-filled ones: I did not bother 'dislike-voting.' Why? Preferences are highly personal, and there are those who love this particular song. For their sake, someone took the time to upload it, Regardless of it being unable to engage me on any level, that act of sharing I very much appreciate. :) I don't want to discourage sharing in any conceivable way. Why the comment? Why anything!? ;) Because it's my first categorical 'TFF dislike.' After 20-30 songs! :o

And, in keeping with the the theme of honesty... I truly do not like this song (irrespective of the accompanying clips). Perhaps guilt is not a prime source of inspiration.... I find it telling also, that whereas most TFF-Orzabal songs garner either emotional or aesthetic-praising comments, this one seems to have provoked a gentle flurry of gossip and speculation about their private affairs; when that takes the place of musical appreciation, something is lacking. I am stating, not judging. Pax.

Well all relationships have their ups and downs... probably because it was Roland I was thinking he could put no foot wrong. :P :P.. too true- only human. :) Not an angel. I REPEAT not!!! an angel :P

i dont know the details of that story either but from what ive heard, it wasnt going well in their relationship between the SFTBC era and the SOL era. Also he was into therapy. When i first learn that he had an affair, it shocked me but after all, he's human. Everybody make mistakes. It happened to my parents too and they're okay now. Maybe Roland was going through a really tough phase. But of course it doesnt excuse what he did. I find rather touching that he sings about it though in Secrets.

I read on another video that this song was written for Caroline asking forgiveness for him cheating on her... which I had heard/known about before but hadn't really given it much... I don't know. ANYWAY :D :P I find it hard to believe that someone like Roland would do something like that... but anyway, could someone obviously more learned than me :P :P shed some light??? It gives a poignancy to this vid anyway 'oh my angel, woman child' 0:58 *pathos* aiii

Raoul is Rolands birth name. If you google the albul Raoul and the Kings of Spain it will explain the whole story on why he is called Roland now.
