Additionally Daron's backing vocals really sound just like they should and while it's hard to make out due to all the noise, the strumming he does during the chorus actually sounds better than both the CKY-style staccato riff of the studio version and the reggae-style riff he usually plays in live versions.

Damn, I really wish there was a decent recording of this performance. It's actually the best live performance of the song I've heard so far. Don't get me wrong, I fuckin love SOAD, but they sure tend to screw this one up live. Not on this occasion though – while Serj sounds a bit "tired" in the beginning, it just keeps getting better afterwards.

If they sound bad live, they really arent. You have to be there, I looked up some live videos after listening and they sounded horrible. But during the concert it was kickass, I guess its like that for every band.

You can go and listen to whatever you want, but just because it's not completely metal doesn't mean it's shit. I listen to plenty more thorough metal bands like Dark Tranquillity and Carcass, but that doesn't mean I need to be some metal buff with a false sense of masculinity just because I listen to nothing but metal music... ...In fact, that's fucking boring. I'll listen to any music I want, even if it's not metal.

What's with all this faggot metal elitist bullshit? Grow up. System of a Down has been one of the closest things to metal after being bombarded with nu metal bullshit in the 00's. It's alternative metal, it's obvious not going to be sounding like Iron Maiden or anything, but it definitely has some influences. I don't see any other popular band from the 00's using triplets/machine gun guitars and blastbeats like SOAD did.
