His 'mental issue' were the Floyd, who had little interest that the 'legend' Syd Barrett would be revealed as actually quite together and capable. If they missed him so much, ahem, wasn't he present at the WYWH sessions? Under the monicker of "being in shock" to see him, they in fact just ignored him. Hypocrites

Thanks for the upload, Jake. Roger Barrett was a brilliant artist and excellent guitarist. Any new found material is much appreciated.

I don't think he lost his talent. I think he just became unenthusiastic about music and less and less inspired, and he also just became bored with it all. So instead he went back to pursue painting.

According to the wish you were here documentary, Syd, was at Abbey road studios recording these unfinished doodles around the same time as pink floyd, who were putting the finishing touches to the wish you were here sessions. Poor Syd, it must have been terribly frustrating to loose your talent to mental health issues.

In Abbey Road a guy asked Syd will he record new album and perform on stage? Syd simply said ''No, that's impossible''.

@turtlliwdnifuoyehthr Just found a picture of him taken in mid 70s. He had short hair.

@turtlliwdnifuoyehthr Probably yeah, but I'm not sure. Because there is a photo of Syd taken in 1975. Bald, fat and without eyebrows. I have no idea how did he looked year before, but there are few interesting pics of him online. You can always search for them. Good luck, best regards.

There's a BBC documentary about Syd on YouTube somewhere, and on it Bob Close mentioned how, when he was younger, he would go around to Syd's house and they'd play this riff for hours, then play something like Bo Diddley afterwards. It's kinda like reliving the moment of youth I suppose.
