I haven't heard much of Suzi Quatro's music yet, but I find the studio version of this song totally addictive. This is a more than respectable live rendition. They've modulated it down a whole tone (from A and B major, to G and A major), and it's somewhat slower ... but her singing is right on ... and when she's not singing she's playing, as Txboy85A said, "some sick bass runs!" What I would simply call energetic and tasteful. It really adds to her ass-kicking image that she plays bass, especially the Fender Precision, which is a very heavy, wide-fretted, rather *unforgiving* sort of bass. You'd expect a woman to play something dainty like a Danelectro. But then, one of the hottest session bassists of the 1960s was Carol Kaye, and she played a P-Bass too ... Yes, you HAVE heard her play, if you've ever heard a Beach Boys hit single!Anyway, if you start looking backwards into women's history in rock, once you get past Joan Jett (*sigh of longing*) and the Runaways, it seems Suzi Quatro is inevitable. I need to check out more of her songs. Then, before her there was Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me", not exactly hard-rockin' but definitely feminist, and it can't be coincidence that it was recorded in over a dozen languages! (either by Lesley Gore or other singers.) It was written by two men, but the lyrics are dead-on, are they not?. I truly prefer Joan Jett's cover version even though Ms. Gore was an awesome singer.

Oh I know Suzi was ahead of her time Im a big Joan Jett fan I grew up listening to her music because my sister played it all the time. I just didnt hear the music that was playing because my sister had her ear phones in. If she didnt I wouldve knew exactly who it was from the start. :)

My older sister was watching this video and had her earphones in and I looked at the screen and thought "that looks like Joan Jett" but I got closer realized it was Suzi Quatro I forgot Joan based her style off Suzi lol
