it reminds me of the isolated 5 hour bus rides from university to home on winter holidays with nothing to do except staring at endless uniform scenery. there was a warm, calming feeling of hope and happiness... a timeless moment in my life. i remember listening to this song.

It's a one-time thing, it just happens a lot; walk with me, and we will see what we have got - Vega's passing observation of a terrible situation puts you right there - making one figure it out makes the mind engage, i.e., "where have I myself ever had these circumstances come to pass?" Then it hits - Oh yes, THAT time: the first love gone bad, the realization, trying to talk it out, the hollowness in the pit of the stomach, the numb shock - effective songwriting - stings a bit sometimes :)
