I really like Sum 41, but saying that you can't share a unity, come together or feel things through pop or any other genre for that matter is bullshit. Just because you don't like it or feel anything when listening to something doesn't mean it won't affect other people. Music and art can move you in so many different ways while others might not feel a thing when experiencing what you enjoy.He says "in my opinion you only get to do that with rock music" and as a musician he most likely (hopefully) knows that it's different from person to person. It was probably just poorly phrased.
