I just came from listening to Kelly Clarkson's 2013 version to here and I must say that Jennifer's version brings more fullness and dynamics to the song. This song is not supposed to be slow and draggy to the point where you fall asleep. Jennifer Nettles did a great job in bringing that "journey in the desert" type of feel to it. E minor is not a bright happy sound.
