this track is probably one of the most over-looked Styx songs. this and Mademoiselle are the only tracks i care for off of this album. even though the other tracks aren't bad, i don't think the production is that good.

That first verse still gives me shivers! This is a fantastic hard rock song! I much prefer the older stuff. They lost me after "Cornerstone."

Musical energy of my youth, I remember playing the bass on that tune with a drummer friend in a house we had in the country (Perkins, Qc, around 1981 or so).

This was a B-side of something - can't remember, but my sister and I LOVED this song...so well crafted, it has it all: it rocks out, has grooves, soaring harmonies, solos, and of course, the gimmicky sped up ending!

Back in the day I had this on cassette in my car. I loved the reacrion of people when it reached the end and I would make a face like what the hell! They would be like "Ah man I think your player's eating your tape!" Priceless!

What a great tune - it has all the elements, it rocks, it mesmerizes and it's epic, with an unexpected ending. Perfect example of "american prog". And in their heyday Styx would look medieval, nordic, with DeYoung looking like Aramis the musketeer, all of them bringing a merlinesque ambient to their rock tunes. Nothing can beat the original Styx.
