For more on Strymon Mobius, please visit http://strymon.net/mobius

Mobius gives you twelve legendary, versatile, and inspirational modulation machines, all in an easy-to-use package. The Rotary machine captures the sonic swirling complexities of a variable horn and drum rotary speaker. A variety of parameters let you shape the system's sonics and mechanics.

All sounds recorded direct using a Damage Control tube preamp. Some clips utilize a vintage MXR Distortion II. No additional effects were used.

Sounds performed by Strymon's marketing guy Ethan Tufts (AKA State Shirt http://stateshirt.com), friend of Strymon Dan Cohen, friend of Strymon Jamie Kime, and DSP engineer Pete Celi. Thanks for listening! :)

I have this pedal and I have to say my cheapo digitech ex-7 gets a lot closer to a slow rotary.

Hello Strymon.  Love this pedal, but I'm having trouble getting my expression pedal to toggle between values like shown here with tap button.  The slowest heel down speed is 225.  I'm using a Dunlop X, exp output with TRS cable.  No problems using the wah mode, it's great.  Just need guidance on the rotary issue I'm having.  Thanks.

Thanks for your feedback. That is noted and I'll be sure to pass that on! :)

I find it rather annoying that Strymon neuters some of the functionality and adjustable parameters of different sections of the Timeline and Mobius to avoid losing sales on their single effect pedals such as the El Capistan and Lex. There is no reason to do that besides selfishness on the part of Strymon.

With firmware rev 1.08 a preset dump is added: "Preset Dump: We’ve added a Preset Dump function in the Global menu. This is a great way to make a backup of your Mobius presets." Also the Preset Librarian can be used to manage presets...

the Lex is the best leslie emulator i've ever heard, and this clearly uses the same basic tech. it's cool to have it available in a modulation pedal.

Not sure what you mean by a non preset. You're essentially always running a preset. It sounds to me like you may not have the TAP switch set to Slow/Fast speed in the parameters menu of the Rotary machine. Once you set that you have to save that as a preset for it to work because once you change machines you lose those changes.

question - do you have to be running a preset to get the tap switch to do the speed changes with one click? When I try to do this (on a non-preset) I need to tap in the tempo I want it to change to. am I missing something?

We're working on it! :) We actually are testing a librarian for the TimeLine and Mobius as we speak. We hope to have it out for download very soon!

Shame there's no preset editor for the mobius - impossible to copy, share or backup saved presets.

Sonically, it is exactly the same. Lex offers a few more features including bi-amp, cab filter, cab direction, and hold for brake.
