this is such a rare & special recording. Very moving.Iv tried to find it on his material but no joy yet. Iv got it on his "Live Wire" album where he sings/plays it with a backing band but its not as powerful as this version.IF ANY OF YOU OUT THERE KNOW IF THIS RECORDING IS ON ANY OF HIS ALBUMS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW.Sad to think what we would be enjoying from him nowadays if he had not gotten leukemia & would he & John Prine still be good friends & still be gigging together. I think so:)

If not for Steve's untimely death, from Cancer, I believe he would have gone on to be one of the GREATS, in folk and country genres. Rest in peace, Steve, you were a talent that was shining at it's brightest just when you were taken from us. I listen to you a lot, and I can only imagine how far you'd have gone if that terrible disease hadn't taken you from us !!! RIP< STEVE !!!
