Sitting at the bar in the Earl with Gus serving drinks and Jimmy cooking burgers, listening to Steve, Fred Bonnie and all the rest seems like yesterday. Knowing it was fifty years ago I first went into that wonderful place makes me swallow hard.

Thank you for this and any other Steve Goodman's you've posted. Being around Chicago when Steve was in his heyday was a musical joy..... It's wonderful to see that people have the opportunity for some exposure to this fine musician's work - far too bad we lost him so early.
