Band - Stealers Wheel

Album - Ferguslie Park

Year Released - 1973 - 1974

Country of Origin - Scotland

Line up:

Gerry Rafferty: vocals, lead guitar (1972--1975)

Joe Egan: lead vocals, keyboard (1972--1975)

- And various backing musicians: Due to the influx of musicians during this turning point album the actual artists are hard to verify. If any of these names, dates, or members are incorrect, feel free to input any necessary corrections.

Luther Grosvenor (Ariel Bender): vocals, guitar (1972-1973)

DeLisle Harper: bass guitar (1973)

Andrew Steele: drums (1973--1975)

Joe Jammer: guitar (1973--1975)

Gerry Taylor: bass guitar (1973--1975)

Paul Pilnick: lead guitar (1972; 2008--present)

Rod Coombes: drums (1972; 2008--present)

Tony Williams: bass guitar (1972; 2008--present)

This album during its release was a box office bust, which caused stress and in-fighting between Egan and Rafferty (which were the only original members of the band at this point) as to what direction the band should proceed ...and inevitably lead to the band breaking up in 1975.

Box office flop or no, this is actually my favorite album released by the group (with the exception of the "Stuck In The Middle With You" song, which was, and is their best song by far).

Enjoy.

I agree with Molly............I love this song. Though it has nothing to do with him...it always made me think of my father who I never knew)
