From their outstanding debut album and on several compilations since then.

I love how modest the production is, and yet simultaneously so polished - makes you feel like you're in the room with them.

Divine! This song and 'late again' stack up against anything.

The most unheard underrated band I know.

Are you 100% sure about that? So in that case the 2nd voice in the chorus and the intro was also done by Joe Egan? By the way I suspect this song to be originally being composed on guitar, is that possible knowing Joe Egan was the writer, in other words: could he play guitar too?

@phivosify It seems to me that the Fender was the model that most people in the music business went to up until the advent of electronic synthesizers in the 1980s. There were others, of course (Wurlitzer's model used by Supertramp), but the Mk-II was the one that I remember. My sister had a stage model during her brief foray into rock music singing in high school.

@YusakuJon3 - Your question, sorry scoured everywhere for the sleeve notes and cat this present time can't find them to clarify the piano for you. On their 2nd album, it just says Peter Robinson on Electric Piano and Mike Stoller on Electric Harpiscord. Gerry will indeed be missed, if you get the chance listen to 'Out The Blue' his John Lennon cover, it is really something. Cheers :-)

There's something about music from that era that resonates with me. Nice and mellow, especially with the sound from that electric piano (Fender Rhodes, right?). Gerry Rafferty will be missed.
