cellmate2003, the reason why they are famous isnt cuz of talent, its because God blessed them with fame .i think God did that becuase ppl would be arrogant in that position, starfield isnt, i met em at NYC, i talked to em and they`re legit praisers of God. Cellmate2003 u call urself a pro?! CHECK THE DATE this is in 08 meaning they played these songs for more than 3 years, probably a lot more. God doesnt exalt the talented, he exalts the humble,u should humble urself before God does it for u

@rezound just goes to show how low the bar's been set in terms of musicianship. The song writing as in music..not talking about lyrics..is terribly bland and non inspirational. But let me add, that the lyrics are great and someone else should have wrote the actual music.

for the type of music these guys play, the drummer plays with skill because he plays what the song calls for. technical drumming with a lot of different fills does not always equal talent, a good ear for music and what the song calls for shows talent and humility.

checkout drummers for jesus.. this is real playing..and playing for Jesus...starfield doesn't even come close. So is it judging? btw, that's the first line of defense used all the time in church circles. I'd say, this is an honest comparison of skill.

famous means nothing, God loves us all, again, skill wise, they're not even close to being good. yes, that's my and many professional musicians opinon. The reason christian music has sunk to an all time low IS because they're giving God not the best product. their first and 10th recordings all sound the same. Then with the money they make, they should be improving their product. If not, then the sales of their material amounts to 'stealing'. There's much technical things i could refer to.

@audweeface98 and you are good enough to say that they are contrary to how i percieve them? Perhaps you are one of those who are not musically trained and perhaps tone deaf enough to accept the mediocre playing. I judge their skills, not who they are in terms of the 'person'. No more than you can judge whether your dinner taste good or not and not putting down the cook.

@cellmate2003 I know that they may not be the best band out there, and the comment was made earlier about the drummer is off. He might off, but I do know that it happen sometimes, even with the most experienced of bands. It may have to do with just simply not thinking the right tempo or that something may be wrong with his in-ear monitors (which, if that's the case, it would make sense why he'd be off a bit).

these guys performed for us this weekend at TCTC in Gatlinburg, TN. I thought they were amazing. I love this song so much. He did that jump thing with us. When I saw this video, I was like... that would be an amazing feeling if you were up on that stage leading that. That would make me feel like I was flying! That would be the best feeling ever!

@cellmate2003 hey mate I agree their not technically very skilled but you saying the guitar tone's not good is completely subjective. The guy plays a les paul, tele, strat through an ac30. he has amazing tone. this is a formula done by countless guitarists in the past all legendary ones so you saying his tone sucks counts against all those guys as well. what do you consider good tone?

@jeffgeoffzoff well you said it correctly..but let's at least have some skills. Their influence to up and coming bands: you don't need skill to make it! Sadly, that also ruins generations of potientially good christian bands.. Now with the 'christian consumer' buying that music, they're not getting the best product because now mediocrity is being purchase at a high price. This amounts to stealing.
