http://www.andersonroe.com | Impression #1 from "STAR WARS FANTASY" composed and performed by the Anderson & Roe Piano Duo

Recorded live in concert at The Juilliard School

In creating our "Star Wars Fantasy: Four Impressions for Two Pianos," we took motives from John Williams' iconic score and constructed a brand new work. The first impression is based on the "Cantina Theme" heard in "Episode IV: A New Hope" from the Star Wars Films. If you are VERY perceptive, you may notice other themes hidden in the texture of the music as well (the Force Theme, Darth Vadar's theme, Yoda's theme, and various battle music motives).

Truly imaginative arranging. Really loved the way you played around mended and transitioned through all those themes. A true concert piece!Maybe a bit to clever for most of the internet though.

This is not, in fact, composed by these two pianists. Credit for composition goes to John Williams.

I don't quite like how you interpreted all those Star Wars tunes .The way you play them is a lot too fast and it sounds very aggressive in a way .

Ludwig van Beethoven: He doesn't like you. (points at Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart)Wladyslaw Szpilman: I'm sorry.Ludwig van Beethoven: I don't like you either. You just watch yourself. We're wanted pianists. We have evening concerts in over twelve provinces.Wladyslaw Szpilman: I'll be careful.Ludwig van Beethoven: You'll be dead!

I'm sorry, you both are excellent piano players, but this arrangement of music is awful. The ragtime duet of Martin Spitznagel & Bryan Wright does much more to honor the original, after all: the original is a JOHN WILLIAMS!

I don't get it. Why anyone who shows off playing this on piano, assumes that if they play it faster than anyone else it's gonna make it better.
