Stan's spoken intro to this song really says it all.

This is a song, written by Stan, to protest about foreign ownership of Australian land and resources.

It was originally included on the 1980 LP "Songs From A Wanderer's Pen"...

...then, it turned up again as the flipside of Stan's 1982 45 "The Wobbly Boot Hotel" (Opal Records, OLS 016).

Slim Dusty recorded the track in 1982 for his LP "Who's Riding Old Harlequin Now", which may be what prompted Opal to dig up Stan's original version and expose it as the flipside of this single.
