Gulaggh, Stalaggh, Gnaw Their Tongues and similar projects are not technically music, they make/play NOISE, which is, in a certain sense, the exact opposite of music. The Beatles (yes, the Beatles) made something similar to this in the White Album (It's called Revolution 9). I would not call this the best thing in the world, and I would surely not listen to it everyday, but, every once in a while, it kinda relaxes me, in a way I can't properly describe. This is utterly disturbing, but only to the extent that life itself is disturbing. In this sense, noise is more "real" than music.

Love it or hate it I think either response is valid this is thought provoking and deeply moving. Wether that movement in introspection or revulsion I think that's what they were going for.

A lot of this actually reminds me of what my "night-terrors" sounded like when i was a small child. The distorted fuzzy sound of the screaming. Weird.

The thing is.... Stalaggh never really aimed to be artistic... One of the members said that the whole point of this is to show the bleak and darker side to humanity, hence why they used the screams of the mentally ill. There's a lot I like about this, especially since I'm interested in psychosis etc but I like the dark atmosphere, industrial overtones, harsh noise elements and of course the Black Metal elements. Not everyone's cup of tea, everyone's entitled to their own tastes but I just wanted to sort of give people who aren't familiar with this concept an insight of what Stalaggh's all about.
