I loved Dysfunction and I even bought the record a long time ago, like 7-8 years back then, but why do people like to compare Dysfunction so much with TORMENTED. Dysfunction should be compared to Break The Cycle NOT Tormented. Dysfunction heaviness is good but is for a mainstream audience while Tormented heaviness is brutal and good and is for the underground audience. People have to stop comparing both albums, also, no song from Tormented sounds like a melodic ballad like Me or Home. Those two songs were pretty soft and amazing and would paved the way for the massive hits they would get in the following years. As for there heavy stuff, it doesn't have solos and is not as brutal as Tormented. I prefer Dysfunction over Tormented but Dysfunction sounds like another mainstream nu-metal record compared to Tormented. Just Go was also soft and melodic compared to the songs from Tormented. In my opinion, Tormented is a heavy metal record while dysfunction is a nu-metal record with some post-grunge elements and those post-grunge elements would massively influenced staind's future albums. Dysfunction is a masterpiece but don't compared it to Tormented which is 100 percent brutal and RAW, Dysfunction is a clean melodic and following the trend of nu-metal only without the rap, remember Fred Durst co-produced this record and Fred Durst is a nu metal guy.

I never said anything about being hardcore enough or not. I don't like their music. Period. It has nothing to do with content. And in the case of Limp Bizkit "content" is not even an issue as the ONLY album that made even the slightest attempt to have some of it was 3DBY.

I agree not everyone likes all their songs. But not likeing it because its not hardcore enough is plain shit. Listen to the music the lyrics are beautiful and some are hard as fuck. Aaron Lewis writes all his songs and doesn't like people changing his words

So, according to you. One should be a "fan" even if the music the band is making is not of your liking anymore? That my friend is a cult, not a fanbase. It's not healthy by any means. Its like that crap Limp Bizkit tries to pull, I liked 3DBY back in 97, but everything after that is just pure shit- should I still be "a fan"? FUCK NO! They suck. Theres no such thing as "being a fan" dude. If you like their thing good if not, just move along like I did.

I agree, I have stuck with this band forever and I am going to stay, If people don't like the light stuff just ignore the light stuff, But I still like all the styles they do, fine by me, there is no problem here, People are mean and cruel today. Why give up on a band that changes something, seems silly to me. People do not make sense anymore. People give up way to easy, It is a shame to Staind and all of the songs Arron Lewis has made. People are hopeless today. Pitiful in my eyes.
