In the St Paul video on YouTube certainly looks like a pick is being used to me. There's that tight strum action on display for sure.It's not slap.

Paul is my uncle! Good work dude! Although crazy enough... I think whoever played bass on the track (paul or maybe someone else) use their thumb for the "picking" sound. Good job!
