From the 1991 album "Play". A powerful lyric where Chris owns up to his shortcomings of not being able to cope with reality. Another beautiful musical interpretation by Glenn and superbly sung. This song is typical of "Play" which has to be one of Squeeze's most underrated albums and one of my favourites to listen to when I'm in one of my introspective moods.

I was a big Squeeze fan when this album came out in the early 90's. After I listened to "Play" I was even more of a fan of theirs. Song for song, it's an excellent piece of work. One of their best albums.14 years назад

Play is a great album. Far less poppy than the previous two. I like "Dogs" but it doesn't quite fit in with the other songs on the album - it was written for the TV series of the same name. My favourite song on the album is "There Is A Voice", it says so much to me about me.15 years назад
