In 1979 my mom took us on The Love Boat (pacific princess) for spring break. I was in grade 4. Ernest Borgnine was there. I got his autograph. I was ten. I walked up to him and said, "Are you someone?" He spent almost ten minutes trying to convince me he was famous, to my obvious doubt. Richard Mulligan from Soap overheard and tried to help plead his case but was also soon defending his own credentials. After a time I agreed to let them both sign my autograph book. Ernest itemized in a list beside his autograph all the shows he had been on in hopes I would recognize one, which I didn't. Then the bartender noticed me and kicked me out because it was inside a bar which I had just wandered into.True story. 100%.The list included Bat Masterson, McHale's Navy and Bonanza. None of which I had heard of.
